About
I'm Susanna, and I live in Croydon, South London. I started playing the piano aged 5, and never really stopped! I graduated from Newnham College, Cambridge in 2016, and I achieved a Distinction in my DipABRSM performance diploma in 2023.
I've been teaching piano full-time since 2018, and I teach all ages and abilities. I teach from home, online, and two days a week at South End Music School in Croydon. I specialise in classical, jazz, and popular styles of playing, and I believe that enjoying the music you learn is crucial to maintain motivation and commitment to lessons.
I have a particular interest in making piano accessible for SEN/neurodiverse students, based on my own experience of neurodiversity, and I am currently working on a new resource for beginners bearing this in mind. 'The Piano Forest' is a book aiming to capture the imagination of young children and use colour in creative ways to aid learning.
